Intense Pulsed Light Therapy (IPL)
INTENSE PULSED LIGHT/BROAD BAND LIGHT TREATMENT INFORMATION
Imperfections from Sun Damage and Photoaging: Enlarged pores, dull complexions, and other facial imperfections can detract from your appearance no matter how healthy and young you feel. IPL/BBL technology improves both the superficial and deeper skin layers and rejuvenates the skin while at the same time delivering beneficial therapy energy to deep tissue. After treatment you can see a reduction of unwanted pigmentation and the appearance of smoother revitalized skin. This treatment can be used effectively on the face, neck, chest, and hands.
Benign Vascular Lesions: The face has an extensive network of veins and tiny blood vessels. Over time, aging, trauma, sun exposure, and certainly lifestyle factors cause a number of them to break, appearing as red streaks or blotches on the face. IPL/BBL therapy can reduce damaged veins and capillaries.
Rosacea: Rosacea is a skin ailment that leaves people red-faced from dilated blood vessels and chronic flushing. IPL/BBL can successfully treat dilated blood vessels and redness without injuring the surrounding healthy skin. For best results 3-5 treatments may be required, spaced approximately four weeks apart.
IPL/BBL AND SUN EXPOSURE
After an IPL treatment, you will be more sun sensitive for the next four weeks. SPF 30 or higher is recommended. You should not have an IPL/BBL treatment within three weeks of prolonged, direct sun exposure.
