Tattoo Removal

In order to accommodate the removal of different tattoos, our office is one of the few in Canada that has 3 tattoo lasers under one roof.  Most of the treatments are done under local anesthesia and are very well tolerated, with treatment sessions spaced approximately 4-6 weeks apart.  These unwanted cosmetic issues may be completely removed after a series of  6-10 treatments.

Short pulses of highly focused light energy are directed at the tattoo ink within the skin.  Through the use of a specific wavelength of light and energy, the tattoo ink is rapidly heated and is broken up into smaller sizes within the skin. The body’s immune system is then triggered to remove these shattered particles which then fades the unwanted pigment.  This process is able to remove tattoos without scarring or long term damage to the skin.
